On a recent, hasty trip to Kalladikode-Palakkad, I saw two Malabar Grey Hornbills high up in a tree. They were efficiently camouflaged in the canopy and was hard to see if not for the strange sound they make. The male has a reddish-orange bill and the female has a yellow bill. The male is known to fetch food and feed the female affectionately.
